In the world of Speedway Terry Russell needs no introduction. Combined with a successful career as the director/owner of Sabre cleaning Terry has managed every aspect of Speedway over a career spanning some 40 years.
Terry’s impressive career has seen him promote speedway at a number of tracks including Hackney, Crayford, Arena Essex, Eastbourne, Exeter and of course Swindon. Terry was instrumental in bringing Sky Sports coverage to Speedway and was behind the successful introduction of Grand Prix Speedway
to the Millennium stadium.
As chairman of British Speedway Terry did a huge amount to professionalise, improve and manage the sport. Terry has been Chairman of Swindon Speedway for some 16 years.

Steve is a chartered biologist who has recently retired having spent nearly 50 years working in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Steve worked at senior business levels for international companies and for over 10 years successfully invested in a small UK based pharmaceutical business selling niche medicines.

Steve is a chartered biologist who has recently retired having spent nearly 50 years working in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Steve worked at senior business levels for international companies and for over 10 years successfully invested in a small UK based pharmaceutical business selling niche medicines.
Steve has developed extensive business and managerial skills during this time. Steve has always had a passion for motorsports especially Speedway. He attended his first meeting in 1967 and has followed the Robins ever since.
Steve was able to turn his passion into an investment when he was part of a syndicate that bought into Swindon Speedway in 2016. Since then Steve has worked alongside “Mr Speedway” Terry Russell in what has been a successful few years for the club.
“By investing in Swindon Motorsports, I hope to help open a new chapter for Speedway in Swindon and create a new modern facility capable of meeting the challenges of a range of motorsports in the third decade of the 21st Century"

Clarke is Chairman of Gaming International the owners of the Swindon Stadium at Abbeymeads. Not known by many, Clarke has a long history in Speedway and motorsport, including the creation and operation of the most successful Speedway venue of the modern era in Bristol.

Clarke has been actively involved in the promotion of speedway in Oxford. Poole, Swindon, Reading, White City and Wembley. He has completed in Hot Rod racing, Karting and Stage Rallying.
“The era of staging Speedway racing in the same arena as greyhound racing is fast fading, whilst the demand for participant motorsport is increasing. The environment of air and noise pollution in high density residential areas is increasingly protected.
Our vision is to develop a motorsports showground able to operate 7 days a week with a variety of spectator and participant events promoted.
In my view, this is the only path to viability and sustainability”
