To operate a multi motorsport show-ground within a 45-minute drive time of Swindon centre.
To locate, acquire, obtain planning permission, develop and operate a show ground including a speedway and car racing oval arena with an expandable capacity of up to 5,000 spectators.
Single motorsports events are no longer financially sustainable when run in isolation. However when combined with other events or activities - such as a training and experience facilities - they are.
Our concept is to combine multiple motorsports and entertainment facilities in a twin track large oval, surfaced in tarmac and in shale. The oval facilities will be designed for multi event use including training, practice, and experience sessions.
In addition, we are exploring the potential to co-locate an outdoor karting, minibike, and radio-controlled car circuit.
Subject to the land available, an all-terrain course for vehicle driving experience and motor cross training and practice could be included.
As we progress with identifying a site and preparing our plans, we will provide further detail on this website. We're keen to hear views and suggestions from the speedway and motorsports community right the way through the process, so please get in touch via this website if you have an idea we might be able to incorporate.
Whilst the finished design of the showground will ultimately be defined by the mix of uses and the size of the site, we will work to defined base design criteria;
Ensuring we are developing a sustainable new facility is important. We will consider various points, including: effective insulation with intelligent heating and lighting, LED show lighting, water efficient toilet facilities, and low energy cooking and heating.
Where there are opportunities for renewable energy generation (e.g. solar panels, wind turbine or ground source heating), we will also explore these.
We want to ensure that our new facility will provide an unrivalled customer experience. Therefore, for spectator events, we will be looking to incorporate high quality PA systems, LED screens, well positioned camera vantage points, themed food and beverage facilities, and facilities for corporate entertaining.
Ensuring that any new facility is compliant with stringent environmental protection regulations is fundamental to our venture. Therefore, how we construct the facility to mitigate any noise, emissions or light pollution will be central to our design process.
As with all motorsports events and facilities, safety is paramount. We will provide high levels of spectator and participant (professional and self-drive/ride) safety through the design of facilities.
We're keen to ensure easy, sustainable access to the site and will be seeking to incorporate bus parking and driver facilities, including regular shuttle buses. EV charging points will also be included.
